Folsom Street Flagging opportunities – SF   2 years, 8 months ago · View

The Folsom Street Fair is next
weekend.  Here is information about flag friendly venues that weekend incase
    you’re wondering.

    Folsom
    Street Fair
:  Gold’s Gym is sponsoring the
dance stage and is looking for volunteers to staff the boxes.  There are 8
boxes that will be alternate every half hour starting at 12:30PM from dancers
to flaggers.  Several of the box time slots are taken but there are still
a few available including a few “alternate” shifts.  John is
handling this; if you’re interested drop him an email today: john_m_wong@… .  Guerrilla
flagging encouraged anywhere you find room just remember not to hit pedestrians…
    unless they ask you too.

    Real Bad:  The most
sought-after party tickets of the year.  If you don’t have tickets,
good luck!  If you are going, the flag stage is open for flaggers from 7-9:45 and again after 2AM.  Keep a
watch on the time and don’t let your bags get trampled.

Magnitude:  As wonderful a jewel as
this has always been to the Folsom there is no
    flagging space this year.  We’ll
all keep our fingers crossed for next.

Thank you for all who participated in August 16th
Flagging in the Park, San Francisco.  The warm summer day, fabulous tunes and
largest crowd I’ve seen combined for a magical afternoon.  Huge
thanks to all of you!  Your fabulous support for New Leaf Youth Services
raised $675, a phenomenal amount coming from our little event.

Thank you DJ Luke Johnstone for your encouraging the
flagging community both at the park and in the clubs.  Your music never
    ceases to amaze everyone.

Thanks also to all the AIDS Memorial Grove, John
Cunningham, the board, donors, and all of the volunteers that make our home a
    beautiful reality.

Your fabulous donations on August 16th
went to Larkin Street Youth Services.  New Leaf was July’s beneficiary.
Thank you DJ Christopher B for catching my mistake.
