During rehersal there was a 20 knot wind blowing right into our faces. During the performance, though, the air was almost perfectly still. Proof, as if you needed it, that god loves flaggers. (And Kristine W!)

Before the parade. We had to be there at 8:30am and didn’t actually march until almost noon. I think it was about 50 degrees when this pic was shot - but I had my flags to keep me warm. (in fact, people kept borrowing them to use as shawls)

This night was SO cool - The music was awesome. The room was full of amazing men. There were a bunch of flaggers on stage I’d never seen before - some really accomplished, and others brand new. The best thing of all? Me and my best buddies all had awesome new flags, or awesome new moves - or both.
flying Phillip’s amazing Crossfires in Dallas
This was either just before or just after Phillip made a gift of them to me. Either way, I was *seriously* in my happy place.

Note to self - don’t "flag low" with big flags on a sandy beach. I didn’t know it at the time, but I told later that the whole time I was flagging great sprays of sand onto whoever walked by.
