god called. he wants to know how you found that back access panel to
the universe.
this reminds me of an m.c. escher drawing. the name reminds me of a video game on the original gameboy, as axolotl was one of its "save passwords" you got when completing a level.
...which begs the question: "how the hell....?"
i can’t stop looking at those, phillip. did you airbrush them or were they folds? good gravy i think i’m in love! hahaha.
After seeing Dan’s beautiful designs that (to me) have a bit of spiral inspiration in them, I thought I might try my modified spiral technique again, using some recently acquired skills and ideas.
Here’s the result; a loose spiral, but it has a certain charm. I was going for a "FireBall" effect, and I’m fairly pleased with how it came out. I’d like to do it again and tighten up the pleats, because I like how the color blends worked.
I also tried a couple of new things with the colors. This set allowed me to try my "popping brown" idea that I wanted to use with another design. It worked pretty well. And the deep forest green blends are pretty.
While dying these I had another of those "You might be a flag-a-holic" ideas...
You might be a flag-a-holic...
when you notice that Algo Blue smells *good*.
(no really, it’s kinda sweet smelling)
