TXT Magazine, July 4, 2005
I was flattered and surprised to be selected for the July 4 issue of TXT Magazine.
I’d just returned from a wonderful trip to San Francisco, and was unaware of the cover. It was a very nice surprise for my birthday!
In a touch of irony, I returned to Dallas with a cool cowboy hat I’d been given by a friend in S.F. So when I wore it out to the parties, I was practically "in costume".
Hmmm...
Well, I supposed the tie-dyed fluorescent bandanna I also wore probably contributed to the look as well. <grin>

One of my favorite pictures. I brought the white silk shirt along to the photo shoot, and the pictures we took with it came out pretty nice.
The shirt isn’t white anymore. Shortly after the I dyed it into fire design.
Q Texas
Cover for the Dallas Pride 04 issue of Q Texas Magazine.
I was very flattered, and it meant some good exposure for the flagging community. We had a large contingent of flaggers in the Pride Parade, as well as the evening parties.
On Saturday afternoon we had about fourteen people over for a tie-dye workshop, for a wonderful Pride Weekend get-together.

This was my first cover, for an issue celebrating Austin’s Splash Weekend.

This was my first picture used for a full-page ad / event poster.
There’s something really surreal about walking into a party and seeing a picture of yourself up on the wall.
On the other hand, this picture doesn’t show my face, so very few people knew it was me...but that’s ok, as this picture wasn’t one of my favorites.
To be used for the Jungle Party closing event was a fub compliment. To have my face hidden in the picture (for the second year in a row) just made me laugh.
This was a great party. I was blown away by Monty Q’s set, and had a wonderful time dancing with friends until the night ended.
Houston Pride 2005
While it’s a real kick to be featured in the posters for the Houston events, it’s a little funny how often they *don’t* show my face. LOL!
Spoiled Boyz - Vintage
I was flattered that they selected my image for this party, but I wasn’t sure how I felt about the "Vintage" label.
:-)
One thing I thought was interesting was how the graphic artist changed the design on my tanktop into the "SB" logo.
