Tell us a little about yourself

my name is Paulo, originally from Europe and now living in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
I’ve always enjoyed the club scene/ circuit party scene and attend some of the well know parties in the state and 1 internationally.
I’ve attended Miami’s White Party week end, Miami’s Winter Party, Gay Disney, Black and Blue and many more.
I also enjoy supporting the gay communityby attending our own Stonewall festival, NYC Pride, San Francisco Pride, San Diego pride and many more.
Internationally, I have attended last year Sensation In Lisbon, Portugal and plan to attend this event again next year.
I have friends that have been flagging and fanning for many years. I have mastered the art of fanning and spent 4 days in Palm Springs(May 2010) where a good friend of mine tought me how to flag. I am still learning and improving every day. Last night( July 1st, 2010) I flagged for the first time in Fort Lauderdale and was given 2thums up my acouple of friends of mine including my friend from Palm Springs.
I am looking forward to go to Flagging parties and hang out with Flaggers.
Thanks
Paulo

My History

How would you describe yourself as a flagger?

What is it about flagging that you enjoy the most?

Meeting other flaggers, flagging to the beat of the music. however, when I flag, what I enjoy the most is being able to forget about everything else and while my arms are doing the work, to still be able to feel relaxed.

How long have you been flagging? How did you get started?

2 months plus.
I got started by watching my 2 friends flagging and got more and more intrigued by it.

What was your first flagging experience?

last thursday, june 1st 2010 at club boom in fort lauderdale, florida

What was one of your best flagging experiences?

as a beginner, my best flagging experience was to learn from my own mistakes.

Who has inspired or taught you?

What was one of your wildest or craziest flagging experiences?

my wildest experience so far, 6/1/2010 when I got up on stage for the first time and felt like Jersey (Coyote Ugly).i almost froze, but didn’t need to havethe lights turned off on me…..i just went for it and experienced the best rush of my life.

Do you make your own sets? Can you describe what kind you make?

Where do you often like to flag?

What are your favorite types of flags to work with, and why?

What advice do you give to beginning flaggers?

let go of your fears and do it.

What nice/unusual comment has anyone said to you while flagging?

2 thums up and you keep improving by the day by my ex. That meant a lot to me to hear that from him.

Do you have an ultimate flagging experience that you would like to achieve, but have not yet?

yes…would love one morning to wake up before anyone else, and go to Sebastian beach in fort lauderdale, and flag as the sun rises in the horizon to the sounds of Kristine W.

Do you have a wish for what happens to your flags after you leave this world?

have not thought about it yet….
