How would you describe yourself as a flagger?

When I flag I let the music inspire me. I let the music speak through me. When I listen to my boyfriend Mark spin, I do just that. I let his music flow through me, through my body, through my hands and through my flags and I become one with the music, one with my flags, one with my boyfriend and one with myself.


How long have you been flagging? How did you get started?

Since November of 06 when I received my first set of flags.


Who has inspired or taught you?

Mark, my boyfriend, who’s a flagger and the most amazing dj I know, and Roger, who made my first set of flags and has taught me so much about the art of flagging.

    I live in Long Beach, CA and it seems that there are very few flaggers here. I’m in the process of putting together a group to get together on a regular basis. Just yesterday I started approaching some of the local clubs to see if they would be willing to let us come in and flag on a "slow day." I’m interested in hearing from other flaggers in LA/Long Beach/Orange County area.
