I’ve been meaning to make a flag for my friend Marc. He and I talk about quantum physics and science for hours. I was inspired by his intelligence and friendship so I created this one for him. It is a basic concentric circle pattern, but to create the various hues and intensities I nuked the silk 3 times, checking and adding more colors as I move along. I am happy with the end result. I hope he does too.
I attended Xavier’s tie-dye workshop a few weeks ago and created this beauty, even hand-sewn the weights. Xavier said we should manually saw our first. It was hours of hard work man - "wax in wax out". Well I like what I’ve done and love spinning it. Thanks Xavier, Jeff and the guys at the workshop! Oh this one is called "Spring Fairy".

I created this flag for my friend Otto who will be performing Hedwig in Hawaii this summer. I made the colors very saturated, deep, dark, masculine, feminine...The colors are more intense under sunlight. This reminds me very much of a batik style dyeing. The "brilliant blue" turned out to be very close to black that created the veining effect.
