Start writing a short message…Hey man I need a new set of flags. Can you lead me in the right direction! I cannot sew my own!
I can lose myself in flagging, forget all my problems and just totally bliss out. Sometimes I don’t want to stop even if I’m tired.
I was on a stage for the first time two weeks ago at Spirit with my friend Jeremy from Boston. What a rush!! It was really exciting!!
I took a class on flag making from David Gosbin, I enjoyed the dyeing part, but didn?t want to sew the weights in. Then I was forced to and now I am glad I did. I broke 15 needles sewing my first set at home, but have gotten much better now.
I make my flags from 8mm habotai silk from Dharma Trading and get my colors from Aljo, Pylam, Dharma and Dayglo. I mostly use a 60 degree airplane fold in making my flags. I mix my colors really strong and keep notes so I can re-create the colors again. My favorite colors to use are yellow, light blue and magenta.
I weight my flags really heavy as they can spin really fast or slowly. I even have an electronic gram scale to make sure each flag weighs the same.
I love flagging outdoors
, if it’s not too windy. There is lots of room to flag big.Chris1 Ofner and Jim Shear are now friends 3 weeks, 6 days ago · View

I love your designs almost as much as I can relate to your story

Love the flags,
would love to find a gay rainbow flag with the starship enterprise right in the middle
