Hi Chris,
I usually prefer Habotai Silk, 8 mumme (mm), 45″ wide. 5 mm and 10 mm Habotai are also used frequently. 5mm is great for lightweight larger sized flags, and 10mm makes for heavier, more durable sets.
I’ve also tried Charmeuse, Crepe de Chine, and Organza.
Regards,

Hi Bill, Glad to hear you like the flags! Regarding your questions…I don’t quite understand your description of how they are sewn. Can you send me a private message so we can discuss? There are a couple of techniques to slow down wear and tear: a. Roll the weights a turn or two into the flag [...]

I think I’ve corrected this problem. It appears that Internet Explorer didn’t show the “Add to Cart” button because of a parent <object> tag. Removing the parent tag seems to have corrected the problem in IE. Everything still seems to work fine in Safari and Firefox. Please let me know if you are still experiencing this problem. [...]

Hi Laura, Thank you for bringing this to my attention. It looks like the “Add to Cart” link isn’t working in Internet Explorer. Safari & FireFox appear to be fine. I’m checking to see if there’s a fix for Internet Explorer. In the meantime, please send me a private message if you’re interested in a [...]

When I created this set, I was thinking of a sort of “black hole” effect, or a space nebula or something. Guess I was in a sci-fi mindset. Then a friend saw it and said he could see a monkey face in the blue center area. That ended all discussion. After all, could there be any better name than “Monkey [...] - Load More

This was an interesting design to tie. The idea was to create an asymmetrical star with the center set close to the lead edge.
