Hey everybody,, just wanted to let you know that people
are noticing us,, my friend Jason who is a dancer for the NYC Ballet was
visiting here in Dallas this past weekend & commented on a large group of
flaggers going at it in Central Park,, he said it was a really amazing sight
to see, & how much it added to the already beautiful day. i just wanted to
pass this along, because it made me feel so good to hear it myself.

I’m pretty sure some of you had done this and experienced it. Can
someone please give some pointers on what to do. The basic steps.
What’s the first step should I do?
Do I need to get permit from the park?
What kind of sound system do I need to use?
Do I need to have a DJ?
What about refreshment/food?
Is there some what like a program to follow?
Is there a limit or hours to do this?

If someone can at least give the the idea how to start this event,

Actually I made my post in cpi about having a flagging contingent
this coming NYC Gay Pride. I should have posted that topic in
SpinTribe also.

For the past years I haven’t seen any flagging contingent during NYC
Gay Pride. I’m pretty sure it would be nice to have one this year.

I hope someone from this group will organize it and I’ll
be willing to help and participate during the parade…It’ll be much
more fun.

This Saturday at 1pm, we are flagging in Central Park. I originally
scheduled it for Sunday and then sent an email saying Saturday. So many
people responded to the email for Saturday that I just kept the date.

We will meet at the Rollerdisco area at 1pm. I will have a boombox
should no music be set up. And of course a collection of flags, stags
(stick flags) and fans. It is going to be a beautiful day!!!!

About a year ago I went to my brother’s wedding in Raleigh and spun fire.
People were completely in awe — they’d never seen it before. I sympathize
with the situation of the lonely artist out there!

Meanwhile, NYC Folk: I’m looking forward to flagging in the park with you
when I’m out there, if we can do it on the 25th!!! David, any chance of

Even better!  That weekend in June is Gay Pride in NYC. We have two outdoor dances, both on the PIer, both on the Hudson river and both are fabulous. The 25th is Rapture, the pier dance for women (all are welcome) and the 26th is the Pier Dance for men (all are welcome) Both events have a separate flagging stage and room for bags and such. Most everyone will be at one of these events if not both- so see you there! Oh they do require advance registration for stage access and both are ticketed events,
 
And how about considering marching in the parade with us? We are joining the SWiSH (Straight Women in Support of Homos) and the Wedding Party float- it will be fun! The parade is the same day as the pier dance for men.
 
If you haven’t guessed yet- there are a lot of flaggers here and a lot of us like outdoor events, stages, floats, and most of us believe in having fun with everyone

I’m so interested in the one on the 25th (wedding to be at on the 26th)! how
do I get information?!?!?!??!

WHAH! I can’t. I’ll be at my brother’s wedding. But I could maybe swing over
